The SCM-1800 is a sand-type laminated molding machine that achieves the world’s fastest molding speed with a large size that enables modeling of mass-produced products from individual prototypes.

Features of sand molding system SCM-800II

Unlike the stereolithography machine, the SCM-800Ⅱ is equipped with an inkjet head instead of a laser, sprays special binder to cure the special coating artificial sand * 1, and laminates it to form a sand mold.

Technology have been accumulated through research and development of an innovation assistance project * 2 by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. This device is suitable for manufacturing sand molds for casting automobile parts such as cylinder blocks and manifolds, industrial equipment parts such as impellers, and construction machinery parts such as hydraulic valves. Since sand molds can be manufactured without using wooden molds, the cost and man-hours for making wooden molds in the casting process can be significantly reduced. Especially for complicated shape castings, a remarkable effect can be expected because the cost and man-hours for making wooden molds are high.

Casting Sand Molding System contract service
